DIXY GROUP posts strong like-for-likes in last nine months

Russian grocery retailer Dixy Group has announced that total consolidated revenue - including Victoria Group revenue from its acquisition date of 15 September 2011 - increased to RUB106.7 billion (USD3.3 billion), up by 56.2% compared to the previous year period.

Like-for-like sales grew by 5.35%, driven by a 6.44% increase in basket size. However, there was a 1.02% drop in traffic. Victoria stores outperformed Dixy stores with like-for-like sales growth of 8.36%, compared to Dixy's 4.62%. The retailer has opened a net 218 neighbourhood stores and six supermarkets.
